We build DevOps expertise
and take it to market

x_ops is not a school. We select engineers, bring them to a standard, and stand behind it. Every engineer defends a substantial capstone and earns x_ops certification. Companies get an engineer whose level is visible before the interview.

What x_ops is

Expertise, built
in one place

Not this

access to a video library
an intake that takes everyone
a certificate for watching lessons
training that ends at graduation

This

selection, then work under a senior engineer
one shared standard of level
certification for a defended capstone
going to market with us

How it works

Selection → Standard → Market

01 / SELECTION

We don't take everyone

Application, technical interview, baseline assessment. If everyone gets the certificate, the certificate means nothing.

02 / STANDARD

One level for everyone

A competency matrix, work on real engineering problems, and a capstone defended in front of practising engineers.

03 / MARKET

We take the engineer out

Certified engineers join the x_ops outstaff practice and partner companies. Their work stays public.

The pipeline

From selection
to a published engineer

Every engineer moves through the same pipeline. Challenges are gates, not lessons: each domain is passed hands-on, the capstone ships a real system to AWS, and publication happens only with the engineer's consent after mentor verification.

01 / SELECTION

02 / FOUNDATIONS

linux virtualization networking git bash python

03 / INFRASTRUCTURE

04 / DELIVERY

GATE 01

Capstone defended

An end-to-end system on AWS — Terraform-provisioned, containerized, delivered by CI/CD, torn down clean. Defended before practising engineers.

GATE 02

Verified by mentor

The work is reviewed and signed off manually. If it doesn't hold, it doesn't pass — there is no certificate for attendance.

GATE 03

Published engineer

With the engineer's consent, the profile and capstone go public on this site — with a certificate verifiable by ID.

The x_ops standard

The market has no shared language
for a DevOps engineer's level

So we set one. The competency matrix is open: what each level means in each domain is visible to candidates and employers alike.

The level covered by certification is marked in accent. Every certificate is verifiable by ID.

Capstone work

Level, visible
before the interview

Every engineer defends a substantial capstone. It stays public: the architecture, the code and the decisions are open to inspection.

x_ops expertise

We built the platform our engineers work on

x_ops is a practising engineering team. Alongside preparing engineers we run consulting, architecture audits and infrastructure builds for clients.

01 Serverless on AWS: Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFront, Cognito
02 Infrastructure as code, fully reproducible environments
03 GitLab CI with OIDC federation, no long-lived keys
04 Fail-closed access control by default
05 Observability pushed over OTLP into Grafana Cloud
